Tel E. Phone (a telephone) shows a group of reporters the members of his family who inherited his basic transmitter and receiver characteristics. The members of his family include the radio twins (“Mike” the microphone, and “Speakie” the loud speaker), the Public Address (P.A.) system, the electrical stethoscope (“Stethie”), and the talking motion picture (“Talkie”).

The song “Ring Ting a Ling” is featured, sung by a quartet of telephones.
